Trust God's Timing

The Italian-made Ferrari is one of the world's most desired luxury car brands. You can pick up a base model for a mere $227,000 or put your offer in for the 1964 Tour de France-winning Ferrari 250 GTO, which fetched $70 million at a private auction. In addition to its renowned performance on the road and impressive sleek style, Ferraris are mostly assembled by hand at the Maranello plant in Italy over approximately three weeks. At the same time, most other cars are constructed in 24-48 hours by machinery.
It can be difficult and frustrating to trust God's timing. However, remember that you are like that Ferrari being built in Maranello. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." God has been at work in your life long before you were even born!
This same perspective applies to our pains, problems, and predicaments. See, no detail of your life is insignificant in His plan. What may seem like a denial or delay is a decisive action on our Heavenly Father's part. Sometimes, we forget this fact because we let the darkness and distress of our day dominate our thinking. We are like the prophet Habakkuk from the Old Testament, who served God around 605 BC during the times of the Babylonians and the destruction of Jerusalem. He admittedly shared his apprehension and contention concerning the plan that involved Babylon as an instrument of judgment over Judah. However, God answered his beleaguered prophet and said:
Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. 3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay" (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
This response from the Lord referred to the coming obliteration of Babylonia rule in Habakkuk's time but also represented a broader fulfillment of the Messianic judgment in the fall of "Babylon the Great" at the close of the Tribulation (Revelation 17-18).
Whether it's troublesome times or tough trials, you can trust God because while we are waiting, He is working!
